WWKiP! INTERCOURSE 2012

                              "We are KNIT TOGETHER!"

World Wide Knit in Public Day, an annual, global celebration of all things knitty, will be celebrated at Lancaster Yarn Shop on Saturday June 9, 2012.  This is a chance for our greater LYS community to ‘be knit together’ in time and space, and to share our craft with knitters and non-knitters alike.  Let’s spread the word that Knitting is fun and GOOD for you! 

You Are Invited!  Bring your knitting and your knitting chair (don’t forget a chair!) and join us!  There will be Knitting Circles at LYS and also at different spots around  Kitchen Kettle Village– we are all Knitting Ambassadors!  Also there will be Whoopie Pies and Raspberry Lemonade, Door Prizes, LYS KNiTTING Buggy*, Specials and Giveaways, and hours and hours of knitting!  Here’s a fun link from Amy Singer about how to pack for a KiP Event  AND don't forget to BRING A CHAIR!

  *LYS KNiTTING BUGGY! An annual KiP tradition at Lancaster Yarn Shop, join us on a horse and buggy ride!  Knitters will ride along beautiful country lanes, through a covered bridge, past cows and maybe even some sheep--while knitting & purling with new crafty friends!  On WWKiP Day, Buggies leave at 11:00 am & again at 2:00 pm. Reservations for the Knitting Buggy are required! Call LYS at (717) 768-8007 and we will reserve your spot.  WWKiP knitters will receive a special LYS rate for the 55 minute buggy ride.
